Design matching to your reference. Send us a photo or scan of a diploma, transcript, or certificate you want replicated. Our designers study the layout, typography, seal placement, color scheme, and institutional branding, then build your design to match as closely as the reference allows. Most matches are completed within 48 hours of order placement.

Your personalization. Once the base design is approved, you edit your own details — name, institution, graduation date, degree type, grades (for transcripts), honors, signatures — exactly as you would in a standard product. Then you approve the final preview before production.

Choice of delivery. Digital PDF, standard physical, or bundle, with pricing varying by document type and complexity. Free USPS Standard shipping arrives in 5–7 business days; Priority Mail (+$20), UPS 2-Day (+$25), and UPS Next Day (+$40) are available at checkout. Complexity pricing applies if the layout is very intricate.

Professional production. Like all DiplomaCraft documents, physical orders print on heavyweight acid-free parchment with foil-printed metallic seal and archival-grade inks.

Common use cases for custom order

International institutions. Your diploma was issued by a Canadian, UK, Australian, or other non-US university, and the layout doesn't match US conventions. Upload a reference and we'll design the international format.

Historical or now-closed schools. Your institution has closed, merged, or no longer uses that seal or letterhead. Upload an archived diploma or yearbook image and we'll match the historical layout.

Unusual layouts. Your original had an unconventional size, orientation, or design — maybe a bilingual diploma, or a highly specialized field certificate. Reference images help us replicate the unusual accurately.

Bespoke retirement or commemorative designs. Frame a diploma-styled keepsake for a retirement party, a family milestone, or a corporate achievement recognition. Describe the layout or upload a mockup and we'll build it.

Bulk orders with individual variation. Ordering 50 law firm partner diplomas with different names, or 30 medical practice physician diplomas? Provide a CSV with names and details, and we'll customize all 50 to your reference design.

Specialty or credential-specific formats. Some fields (military, state-issued, professional boards) use formats not covered in our catalog. If you can provide a sample, we'll design to match.

The custom order workflow

1. Start a custom order. Go to /products/custom-diploma or /products/custom-transcript, select the custom option, and you'll reach the custom order form.

2. Upload your reference image. Attach a photo or scan of the diploma or document you want matched. Clear, well-lit images help — the designers need to see seal detail, typography, spacing, and layout. High-resolution is better, but smartphone photos work fine.

3. Describe what you need. Use the form to explain any special requirements:

• What aspects of the layout are most important to match?
• Are there any details you want to change from the reference?
• Do you have specific text/names/dates in mind?
• Any color or seal style preferences?
• Timeline: standard 2 business days, or do you need expedited?

4. Designer builds your design. Our design team (usually within 24 hours) creates your custom diploma and sends you a preview link. You can review the design and request changes if needed — we include one round of minor revisions.

5. Approve and personalize. Once the base design is approved, you add your personal details (name, institution, date, degree, etc.) using our live preview tool, just like a standard product. You see the final diploma rendered in real time.

6. Choose delivery and checkout. Pick digital, standard physical, or bundle, and complete checkout. Production begins after approval.

7. Receive your diploma. Digital PDFs arrive immediately after payment. Physical orders ship via your chosen method — free USPS Standard (5–7 business days), Priority Mail (+$20), UPS 2-Day (+$25), or UPS Next Day (+$40).

Bundle: $109.99–$139.99 (includes design, instant PDF, and standard physical arriving in 5–7 business days)

Complex designs (multiple colors, intricate seals, unusual materials, or highly specialized layouts) may have complexity surcharges. We quote before production begins.

File formats and technical requirements

Accepted file formats for reference images:

• JPEG, PNG, PDF, TIFF, or BMP
• High resolution preferred (300 DPI if possible), but smartphone photos work
• File size up to 50 MB

What works best as a reference:

• High-quality photo of your original diploma
• Scan of a diploma from a similar institution
• Digital mockup or sketch of your desired layout
• Historical diploma images from yearbooks or institutional archives
• Screenshots of diplomas from websites or digital collections

What we need to see:

• Overall layout and proportions
• Seal design and placement
• Typography and text formatting
• Color scheme (if color is important)
• Any decorative borders or design elements

What we can and cannot replicate

We can replicate:

• Layout, typography, seal design, and decorative elements from your reference
• Any institution name, graduation date, degree type, and personal details you provide
• International diploma formats, historical layouts, and unusual designs
• Customized seal designs and color schemes
• Bilingual or multilingual text

We cannot:

• Forge or render actual signatures of real officials or institutions
• Create documents that appear to be officially issued by any accredited institution
• Replicate specific official security features (holograms, watermarks specific to real credentials) that would suggest official issuance
• Design documents intended to deceive or misrepresent in employment, enrollment, or government contexts

Our replicas are built for novelty, replacement, and display purposes, and we design accordingly. If your use case requires an officially issued credential, the correct path is your school's registrar, the National Student Clearinghouse, or Parchment.

Customization options for bulk orders

If you're ordering many documents with the same base design but different personal details, we support CSV-driven customization.

Format: Provide a CSV file with columns for Name, Institution, Graduation Date, Degree, and any other fields specific to your documents. We'll merge each row into a copy of your base design and produce individual PDFs or physical copies.

Common use cases:
